Inevitable

Three goals apiece in an epic Manchester derby. The City fans singing and celebrating, the Utd fans wondering if it wasn't time to slip away and see if the buffet had been replenished, after all, Man Utd fans cannot live on bread alone. There must also be little crustless sandwiches cut into triangles and such and such. So, while some fans drifted off, sniffing the air for a hint of something like the below,

the true believers in MO7 waited for the inevitable.

He has now won a Manchester derby. The legend grows.

The first of many

Oh yes, here we go, MO7 has Premier League lift off! They say, with good reason, that the fourth goal of five is the one that really matters and so who else was going to tuck it away but the legend himself? The murmuring of the so-called pundits saying Ferguson should have spent big money on a striker was getting louder so it was time for MO7 to slap them down and that is what he did, in fine style. Those people need to open their eyes and smell the MO7 flavoured coffee. This is it people. Strap in tight because MO7 is about to start rewriting the record books.

Not long now

Only a few more days till MO7 starts ripping up the Premier League! Or is it Premiership? I don't know. Premier League, I think.

MO7 at the double

Two more goals for MO7, these against a dangerous Hangzhou side. Yes, Man Utd got 8 in total but it was MO7's goals that instilled in them the belief that they could do it. Typical of MO7 to encourage his teammates to new heights.
One of the defenders is pictured here bagsying the legend's shirt.

They kept the shirt warm for him

Thanks guys, you did a great job.

Shameful

Huh. Shows what the so-called experts in the so-called quality papers know. Here's Times genius Matt Dickinson on 9th June this year: "Owen will want to stay in England, and as high up the league table as possible, although it is certain that he will not be picked up by the top four."

Ha! MO7 not wanted by a top four club? Well done Mr Dickinson. If you could just predict the lottery for this week I'll make sure none of the numbers you pick get anywhere near my ticket. Shame on you, sir. Shame on you.

The trinity

The name. The number. The legend.

Rio knows

Rio Ferdinand is a fully paid up member of the MO7 fan club. "He is one of those players you might not see for 90 minutes but in time added on, he will score a goal," he said, and it could not have been better put. That is what MO7 is about. He is a breath of wind, a fleeting hope, a light flaring briefly in the dark. Rio is a defender. Rio knows.

2 in 2

MO7 has continued laying the foundations that will one day support his statue outside Old Trafford by making it two goals in two games during Man Utd's Malaysian tour. Again, the victims were a tricky Malaysian XI and again MO7 showed what he is all about: goals. At this rate he will break every goalscoring record there is and will anybody be surprised? Only madmen and fools. Well done MO7! Has there ever been a better player in the famous Man Utd 7 shirt? Two games in and that debate is already over. As the picture shows, the players have started gathering around OT's new main man.

If you sign him they will come

There might have been nobody there to celebrate with MO7 when he signed but that can only be because all Man Utd fans were so amazed and overjoyed that they were temporarily paralysed. Either that or nobody could work out what patch of wasteland it was that Man Utd officials had taken MO7 to for the photo. Rest assured, they will arrive in ones and twos at first and before we know it the trickle will be a flood and MO7 will be at the head of a great army and every member of that army will sing the name of their hero, the new king of Old Trafford.

What a start

MO7 has started as he means to go on by scoring a brilliant winning goal against a tough Malaysian outfit called Malaysia XI. He showed his trademark amazing sharpness to latch onto the ball in the area, then the calmness we all know he has to size up the situation in an instant, dance round the goalkeeper and slot the ball home. Great stuff, MO7!
